Signature HealthCARE at The Courtyard hosts carnival fundraiser

Signature HealthCARE at The Courtyard recently became a carnival for a day to benefit some very worthy causes.

During the event, held March 1, staff members and elders enjoyed a cake walk, “putt putt” golf, cotton candy, popcorn and other familiar carnival fare and activities. The carnival served as a fundraiser for the facility’s activities program, and for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Facility Administrator Annette Jansenius and Director of Nursing Amber Gullett were extra supportive of the cause–both agreed to kiss a pig if at least $500 was raised for Relay for Life during the carnival.

That goal has been far exceeded. The Courtyard’s Relay for Life team has already raised about $1,800 and is well on the way to meeting its total fundraising goal of $2,500.

SHC at The Courtyard would like to invite the community to come show its support for the Relay for Life team on May 6, 2011 at 3 p.m. The Relay for Life event will be held at Citizens Lodge Park, 4577 Lodge Drive (off Caverns Road). Food and entertainment will be provided throughout the night.
