Thank you from Ann Hinson

In my wildest dreams I never would have imagined swimming with the dolphins at Gulf World. With a lot of TLC from the staff at the Courtyard, friends, and family and a lot of prayers my health improved to the degree that proves you are never too old to have fun and remain young at heart.

Thank You from the Family of James Simmons

Thank you so much for your care for our brother and uncle, James Simmons.  The care you gave certainly went above and beyond whatever mission statement you might have.  The love and care shown to him will certainly be remembered.

The love and care for his family, even after his passing, would have touched his heart, and the tribute honoring him was so special.  While we thank you, we want to ask a favor: Keep caring, loving and honoring these elders who put so much faith in you care for them.

The outpouring of love and encouragement was not limited to staff, but, from the elders, also.  This shows that SHC is not an institution but a community of elders who love one another and their caregivers.  Thanks and may God Bless SHC.

Thank You from the Family of Flora Askew

Dear Staff,

Our family wants to thank you for your loving care of Flora Askew over the past two years. However, please know that words cannot adequately express our appreciation. The decision to move her into a nursing home was a difficult one to make. We worried that her health would decline due to removing her from her longtime home. Little did we know at the time, but this move would be a blessing to her.

Mother thrived over the last two years, making friends and adopting the staff as family. She liked telling her children and grandchildren about you, the staff at the Courtyard.  She enjoyed participating in activities with the other residents but she mostly enjoyed the companionship of the staff.
