Today we celebrated spring with a picnic. This morning, elders gathered in the Quality of Life Room with their favorite picnic recipes. Pasta salad, finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, and cheesecake were the most popular selections. Next we loaded up and headed to the store. Once we had all the items on our list, and a few extra, we headed back to start cooking. Finally, everything was prepared. We invited some of our neighbors out onto the courtyard for a good spring picnic. Everyone agreed the cheesecake was their favorite thing we made. It was a lot of fun. It reminded me of the picnics we use to do after church in the spring and summer.
