As part of our Route 66 Restorative initiative, we were talking about the Firefighter’s Museum in Oklahoma City. Elders decided they would like to go to our local Fire Department and learn more about what they do and what parts of the county they serve.
Our local fire department invited the elders over for a tour. The elders were able to see what trucks our firemen use, the equipment kept on each truck, and what it was used for. They invited the elders into the fire station where they showed them maps of the county and the areas they were normally dispatched out to.
Mrs. Ann said “We are so blessed to have so many young men willing to help our community.”
Thank you very much to the Marianna Fire Department for their hospitality.
