Men’s Club Outing to Lowe’s and Sonny’s

On Thursday our Men’s Club went to Lowe’s where they “tinkered” with the tools, had a lawn mower demonstration, and picked out Vegetables for their garden. After they headed to Sonny’s for lunch.

This Thursday the Men’s Club headed off to Lowe’s where they were able to pick the vegetables they wanted to have in their garden. Today they planted their vegetables in the raised
flower beds on the south courtyard. Squash, Peppers, Strawberries, Cucumbers, Okra, Jalapeno Peppers, and Egg Plants were some of the vegetables planted.

County Fair Day: Elders were treated to events found at county fairs including a Hog Calling Contest, Pie Judging, and Star Pitching. Prize Ribbons were given in each category.

Mother’s Day Party

Our Admin Team hosted a Mother’s Day Party for our elders. The Courtyard was decorated in pretty pinks, greens, and blues. Elders were treated to Cupcakes, cookies, chips, and lemonade. Thank you so much to our Admin Team!!

Blessing of the Hands,
A little reminder that it’s Nurses week and what you do matters to God and the community we serve.
People washed others people’s feet in ancient days as a token of appreciation as well as a symbol of honor. We wanted to thank our Nurses for caring for people with their hands and told them we were praying for Gods blessing through them as Darren placed oil on their hands.

National Day of Prayer

The Elder led Mission team joined forces with the Courtyard Council to host a National Day of Prayer event. Special guests included Ted Lakey, County Administrator, Nicky Lovett, Fire Chief, Travis Ephraim, City Commissioner District One, Shareta Wright-Green, with the Wright Foundation, and Pam Prichard, Administrative Services Director.
